Design Turkey 2014 winner “Mute” is designed for the comfort of call center employees.
Customer satisfaction has become more important for companies and this caused an increase in the number and features of call centers. In a call center environment, there is a great number of employees placed in an identified area, which makes effective use of space one of the most important criteria. Ergonomics stands out in design in order to prevent discomforts that may be caused by long durations of sitting, while sound isolation becomes equally valuable due to long term telephone conversations. The design which uses whole spaces in an effective way and creates personalized areas for the employees increases motivation and productivity.
The biggest problem that call center employees face is talking on the phone with customers for hours on end, and to be exposed to noise. Call center offices where number of employees per square meter is quite a lot, are generally furnished with monotonous and sloppy office furniture. However, in these offices where there is a great number of employees working together, products that will make them feel good become all the more important. Bürotime took into consideration all these needs, and designed “Mute” that combines aesthetic, comfort, colors, and ergonomics. This product allows for hundreds of different arrangements with its V form, and thanks to the special material used in its panels, it reduces the ambient noise to a minimum inside the cabin.
